Cycling is a fantastic cardio workout that builds cardio capacity, strong legs and a healthy heart. It's also a very social sport that can be great for networking. Cycling is the new golf. 

Book as a group and save more. Half-day trips start at $150, with only $50 for each additional person. Full-day trips start at $250, with $100 for each additional person.

Overview

At Functional Adventure, we address and correct the following components of safe, effective riding:

  • Selecting the right type of bike and adjusting fit
  • Proper braking and anticipation of braking
  • Road hazards and rules of the road
  • Safely and confidently riding on roads and in traffic
  • Cadence and turnover
  • Developing an efficient and powerful pedal stroke
  • Shifting for efficiency
  • Approaching, ascending and descending gradients
  • Hydration, nutrition and recovery

What's Included

  • Patient instruction with experienced guides
  • We provide tubes, tools and basic mechanical support and training to help you become self sufficient.
  • We educate you on the type of bike to rent or buy, and we can accompany you to the bike shop. (If you have your own bike, your instructor will inspect for safety.)

General Info

  1. Participants must be 18 years or older.

  2. Participants must provide their own bikes (which should be properly tuned) as well as water, snacks and a bike helmet.

  3. Participants are encouraged to use lighting on both the front and rear of their bikes for safety.

  4. ALL participants must sigh the Functional Adventure, LLC Release of Liability waiver.

Cancellation Policy

All classes are weather permitting. Cancellations due to weather will result in refund or rescheduling. 

Clients who cancel within 48 hours can be rescheduled as capacity allows but will not be refunded.
